Rathbone: Bro not even the founders of Israel or the founders of Zionism agree with you. Both acknowledge that Israel was a colonization project. One of the founders of Zionism, Vladimir Javan PINSKY, even claimed that \u201cZionism is a colonization adventure\u201d. He even went on to say that \u201cZionist colonization can proceed and develop only under the protection of a power that is independent of the native population (the Palestinians) behind an iron wall (the British Empire), which the native population cannot breach\u201d. I don’t know how more clear these Zionist leaders could be. The social and economic institutions founded by the early Zionists, which were central to their success, were also unquestioningly understood and described as colonial. Most important of these institutions was literally called the Jewish Colonization Association, or the JCA. This organization was crucial to, as its name suggests, colonizing Palestine. This is not a secret. Let’s consider the chief architect and founder of Israel, David Ben-Gurion, who stated in 1938. \u201cLet us not ignore the truth among ourselves. Politically, we are the aggressors, and they defend themselves. The country is theirs because they inhabit it. Whereas we want to come here and settle down and in their view, we want to take away from them their country\u201d.
