For months, we\u2019ve heard Western officials justify the slaughter of Palestinian civilians by saying Ham*s uses \u201chuman shields.\u201d<\/p>\n

But when Israeli forces strap a Palestinian on the hood of their vehicle, Western media fails to mention a literal human shield.<\/p>\n

The video shows a Palestinian man lying across the front of the Israeli jeep as it drove through a neighborhood in Jenin. The man appeared slumped on the hood of the vehicle as it drove past Palestinian Red Crescent (PRCS) ambulances.<\/p>\n

The PRCS said the Israeli military had prevented its crews from providing first aid to an injured man in the Jabarat area of Jenin.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey then placed the injured person on the front of a military jeep and detained him before later allowing our crews to transfer him to the hospital,\u201d the PRCS said.<\/p>\n

In response to questions about the incident, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Saturday that its forces violated \u201corders and standard operating procedures\u201d and an investigation would be launched.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe conduct of the forces in the video of the incident does not conform to the values of the IDF. The incident will be investigated and dealt with accordingly,\u201d the IDF said in a statement.<\/p>\n
