Yemen\u2019s Armed Forces announced on 23 June that it targeted five ships in two joint operations with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI) coalition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Yemeni Armed Forces, in cooperation with the Iraqi Islamic Resistance, carried out two joint military operations, which were as follows: The first operation targeted four ships in the port of Haifa, including two cement tanker ships, and the other two were general cargo ships belonging to companies that violated the decision to ban entry to the ports of occupied Palestine with a number of drones,\u201d Yemeni army spokesman, Yahya Saree, said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe other operation targeted the Shorthorn Express ship in the Mediterranean Sea on its way to the port of Haifa, using a number of drones. Both operations achieved their goals successfully, and the injuries were accurate and direct,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

The statement came hours after Sanaa\u2019s forces announced operations against the \u2018Transworld Navigator ship\u2019 in the Arabian Sea, as well as the USS Eisenhower aircraft carrier \u2013 which Yemen has struck several times over the past month.<\/p>\n

Washington has reportedly ordered the USS Eisenhower to pull out of the region for the second time since April.<\/p>\n

The announcement also followed the Yemeni army\u2019s release of footage on 22 June unveiling the new Toofan-1 drone boat, a locally made uncrewed surface vessel armed with 150 kilograms of explosives.<\/p>\n
