Ghassan Kanafani: Talk to whom? <\/p>\n

Man behind camera: Talk to the Israeli leaders. <\/p>\n

Ghassan Kanafani: That’s kind of a conversation between the sword and the neck, you mean. <\/p>\n

Man behind camera: Well, if there are no swords and no guns in the room, you could still talk. <\/p>\n

Ghassan Kanafani: No, I haven’t been, I have never seen any talk between a colonialist case and a national liberation movement.<\/p>\n

Man behind camera: But despite this, why not talk? <\/p>\n

Ghassan Kanafani: Talk about what?<\/p>\n

Man behind camera: Talk about the possibility of not fighting. <\/p>\n

Ghassan Kanafani: Not fighting for what? <\/p>\n

Man behind camera: They’re better that way than dead, though?<\/p>\n

Ghassan Kanafani: Maybe to you, but to us it’s not. To us, to liberate our country, to have dignity, to have respect, to have our mere human rights is something as essential as life itself.<\/p>\n
