Nasser Yassin, Lebanon\u2019s Minister of Environment, highlights the deliberate approach by Israel to destroy Lebanon\u2019s greenery.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe latest estimate is more than 1250 hectares… It is equivalent to twice the total burned areas during the past year and the year before that… And the Israeli enemy, during these months, has deliberately burned more than twice the amount of all forest fires and green cover in Lebanon in one year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Israel has violated international law constantly, not just with the genocide they\u2019ve waged in Gaza, but along its northern border with Lebanon. They have continued to violate Lebanon\u2019s airspace, but have also deployed white phosphorus several times in an attempt to destroy Lebanon\u2019s environment. This will have long-term consequences on Lebanon and its reconstruction.<\/p>\n
