Blackwater founder Erik Prince said he \u201cprovided the Israelis a fully-funded, donated ability to flood Gaza with water\u201d while speaking at the Heritage Foundation\u2019s Policy Fest at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Monday.<\/p>\n

Prince also said the US had given \u201cvery bad advice, very mixed advice\u201d in Gaza and prevented Israel from \u201cending that war in a clever way\u201d.<\/p>\n

Blackwater, the private military contractor founded by Prince, became notorious in 2007 when a group of its employees killed 17 Iraqi civilians and injured 20 in the Nisour Square massacre in Baghdad. Four of its employees who were convicted over the incident were later pardoned by former US President Donald Trump in 2020. Blackwater has since undergone multiple rebrandings and name changes, and merged with Triple Canopy in 2014 to form Constellis.<\/p>\n

The U.S. has given very bad advice, very mixed advice in Gaza, preventing the Israelis from finishing it or even preventing from ending that war in a clever way. I provided the Israelis a fully funded, donated ability to flood Gaza with water, with seawater, to flood the 300 miles of tunnels blocked by the Pentagon. We have a a leadership apparatus that is truly the most sclerotic and and literally obese. we have as many general officers today as we did in World War Two, when we had 14 million men under arms. So in an era of video conferences, emails and instantaneous communication, we have a super bloated, super top heavy and clearly not very effective security apparatus.<\/p>\n
