ARIEL SHARON WANTED A PALESTINIAN STATE Settler claims He Didn’t See for yourself
December 2, 2023Ariel Sharon was Israel’s 11th Prime Minister and served as its Defence Minister during the horror years during Lebanon’s Civil war leading the Israeli Army into one of the worst slaughters in modern history – the Sabra and Shatilla Refugee Camp massacres on the outskirts of Beirut in 1982.
Early in his career he was a staunch opponent of granting the Palestinians their own state. But even before he became Prime Minister in 2001, during the leadership of PM Yitzhak Rabin (1992-1995) and after the Israel-Jordan Peace Treaty was signed, his beliefs began to shift.
He like Rabin and Shimon Peres another Prime Minister and former President, realised the only way to peace and security for Israel was by granting Palestinians real sovreignty over their own land.
However, in this excerpt from a documentary by @haaretz’s @bradley.burston Daniella Weiss, Israeli Orthodox Zionist settlement movement activist, she claims Sharon never spoke of giving the Palestinians their own state.
