Yemen claims strikes on Israeli ships
December 4, 2023American navy destroyer, the USS Carney, and two Israeli commercial ships came under attack from Yemen’s naval forces in the Red Sea yesterday who fired three ballistic missiles at the commercial ships destroying them, while the US warship shot down three drones in self-defense during the hourslong assault.
The Yemeni government led by the Houthis claimed responsibility saying the attacks on the commercial ships and US Destroyer were linked to Israeli’s relentless assault on Gaza and the Palestinian civilians and that it would continue to prevent vessels from passing through the Red Sea as long as Israel continued its onslaught.
