My fellow Americans, I have a story to tell you. The other day in Gaza. A father of seven was hiking towards safety after many kilometers with his seven kids, and he was stopped by Israeli soldiers. “You with the beard. Over here.” He went over and they started to interrogate him. He said, “I’m just trying to get my family to safety.”

“We’re tired. We’ve been hiking a long way. We just want to get to safety.” And the Israeli soldier interrogating him smiled and looked at him and said, “I have a gift for you so that you won’t be tired anymore.” And then he shot him in the head and smiled and said, “Now you’re not tired anymore.” This is the utter depravity that comprises the Israeli occupation forces.

This isn’t just somebody who’s pushing a button on a bomb and doesn’t know who they’re hitting. This is someone who’s looking an innocent man in the face in front of his children and then literally murdering him for no reason. And this, this is what you’re supporting as an American. This is what your president is supporting. This is what all of our congresspeople are supporting. This.

This is utter brutality, and it is it’s literally a war crime. And it should be a war crime. Things like this should never happen. We need to wake up and we need to realize that as we grew up listening to stories of the Holocaust and the brutality of the Nazis and we questioned ourselves, we said, “Why didn’t anybody stand up?”

“Why didn’t people stand up and fight against this?” That time is now. That time is now. And the question is, why aren’t you standing up and doing something to end this murderous regime?
