Tamer Qarmout: I mean, humanity or the international community has totally failed Palestinians when it comes to this. I mean even providing the minimum protection mechanisms for civilians. I mean, Gaza is a case study to be taught, sadly, in schools now about how the failure of international community I mean, it’s unprecedented what’s happening in Gaza. This is a genocidal war.
We see for the first time, even the U.N. is split over what’s happening in Gaza. We have a group of UN experts who say it’s genocide. Then we have the politicians and the UN all trying to subdue their voices and say, no, it’s not. A dysfunctional U.N. system. And it’s terrifying. It’s not it’s not about Gaza anymore.
It’s about the future of this globe. Where are we going? Heading? I mean, if Gaza has been left to suffer the way it’s being suffering now, this is very indicative of a very dark future waiting for humanity. Other conflicts erupting conflicts. How will the international community deal with it if they left Israel to do what it did and still doing in Gaza. The way it’s doing it, it’s done.
We have lost our faith in humanity. Palestinians in particular have lost their faith in humanity.
