MOVEMENT LEADERS ARRESTED ON CAPITOL HILL
December 22, 2023More than 80 movement leaders, including Ahmad Abuznaid, Yahya Alazrak, Sandra Tamari, and Linda Sarsour representing communities across the country were arrested at the Capitol yesterday after protesting to stop Biden’s $106 billion Aid deal in the Senate.
This multifaith, multiracial coalition is calling for a PERMANENT CEASEFIRE NOW, as Israel massacres Palestinian people in Gaza. Movement leaders want the $14.3 billion in weapons to Israel and $8 billion in border militarization and anti-immigrant policies removed from the bill.
Congress is going against the will of the people, 61% of whom widely support a permanent ceasefire to stop the genocide in Gaza (including nearly 80% of Democrats).
