THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD WILL END ISRAEL’S APARTHEID REGIME

Husam Zomlot: I believe we are in the right direction. Every conflict on earth similar to ours have been resolved. Rights have been achieved via people not governments. The anti-apartheid movement of South Africa and the freedom of Nelson Mandela. All that did not come because the Thatcher government here was anti-apartheid, or she was pro the apartheid regime. It was the British people, the American people, the people of the world who started an unstoppable movement that ended and collapsed the apartheid regime, suffocated the apartheid regime. Sucked oxygen out of the apartheid regime. We have an army of Palestinians outside. Half of the Palestinian people are outside in leading positions. We have a very special nation, very rooted, very ancient, very historic, very educated now, very integrated worldwide. This is a nation that is capable to cope despite all that has, we have gone through in the last 75 years. I’m talking about the people. This is a people’s struggle.
Interviewer: In the context of this very painful genocide. How are you doing?
Husam Zomlot: In our situation? Depression is a luxury. We cannot afford it.
