CELTIC FANS DEFY UEFA FOR PALESTINE
December 23, 2023Celtic fans waved Palestinian flags before they Champions League fixture with Athletico Madrid, despite the club urging them not to due to UEFA rules.
Before the match, the club released a statement saying: “We ask that banners, flags and symbols relating to the conflict and those countries involved in it are not displayed at Celtic Park at this time.”
But shortly before kick off, fans took out their Palestine flags and waved them in solidarity.
