ISRAEL CAN EITHER BE JEWISH OR DEMOCRATIC -CAN’T BE BOTH
January 1, 2024In December 2016, Secretary of State John Kerry made a very important speech that was directed squarely at Israel calling out its duplicity and false aspirations for peace using violent means.
He said: Israel “won’t ever really be at peace” with a one-state solution, and that Palestinians “will never fully realize their vast potential” in that scenario.
It appears Netanyahu took Kerry’s words seriously and dumped the two-state solution as well as any idea of Palestinians remaining in the Occupied Territories and Gaza Strip. He is murdering as many Palestinians as he can and ethnically cleansing the rest from the Strip while imprisoning and killing thousands in the West Bank.

John Kerry: Today, there are a number… There are a similar number of Jews and Palestinians living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. They have a choice. They can choose to live together in one state or they can separate into two states. But here is a fundamental reality. If the choice is one state, Israel can either be Jewish or democratic. It cannot be both, and it won’t ever really be at peace. Moreover, the Palestinians will never fully realize their vast potential in a homeland of their own with a one state solution.
