English Script:
Daizy: Hi.
Solaire: Hello.
Daizy: How are you? Nice to meet you.
Solaire: I’m good. Cold.
Daizy: Freezing.
Solaire: It’s really cold.
Daizy: You’re from South Africa?
Solaire: Yeah, I’m from South Africa.
Daizy: Both of you?
Karima: I’m from Egypt.
Daizy: From Egypt. How nice. And you’re here. Tell me your names.
Solaire: My name is Solaire.
Karima: And my name is Karima.
Daizy: Karima. Why are you here? It’s 07:00 a.m. in the morning. We can’t get in, unfortunately. They’ve told us there’s only 14 spots. But why were you here? Why is it important for you to be here? And amazing that South Africa is doing what it’s doing. How proud are you?
Solaire: I’m really, really proud. Do you want to share why you’re here first?
Karima: We’re here to support Palestine because it’s not okay what’s happening, and we want the genocide to stop.
Daizy: And the South African point of view?
Solaire: No, for me as well, I think really, it’s unbelievable and I think, we were talking about it before, but I think we’re really privileged, and we really have the opportunity to do something about this and to really use our voices for good and really just at least spread awareness about something. I mean, that’s why we all came here. It’s a really big group of people as well, so I think it’s also really impressive. Yeah.
Daizy: Good on you both for being here. I know there’s a lot of people from different countries around, come from Germany, come from Belgium, come from a lot of parts of the world. And it’s so important to stand for justice. That’s what we’re doing here today, standing up for justice. Thank you very much.
Solaire: Yeah. It was so nice to meet you.
Daizy: Lovely to meet you too. Thank you. Thank you, Karima, love your names.
