ISRAEL IS PLAYING VICTIM AT THE ICJ
January 13, 2024From INSIDE the ROOM:
I was in the room watching Malcolm Shaw, one of Israel’s defence team, tell the panel of judges at International Court of Justice in The Hague yesterday, that Hamas’s attack on October 7 required Israel to defend itself.
Do you know how disappointing it was to hear the same old excuse, the same old propaganda being peddaled at the ICJ?
I was so unimpressed with Israel’s defence yesterday. I expected them to be far better prepared or atleast come up with something original but NO!
Same propaganda that has been analyzed, argued, debunked and proven to be unacceptable because OCT 7 did not happen in a vacuum!
Yet Israel and the Zionist continue to try to spin the narrative that everything began on OCT 7. No context. No other history or facts are relevant.

English Script:
Marshal Shaw: These atrocities do not justify violations of the law in reply. Still less genocide, but they do justify, mandate even, the exercise of the legitimate and the inherent right of a state to defend itself as enshrined in the UN Charter and under customary international law, to put an end to the continuing attacks against it and to prevent them from succeeding. A threat that has been made explicitly by Hamas and repeated, and it is thus real and imminent. Not every conflict is genocidal. The crime of genocide in international law and under the genocide Convention, that international law is a uniquely malicious manifestation, it stands alone amongst the violations of international law as the epitome and zenith of evil. It has been described correctly as the crime of crimes, the ultimate in wickedness. Indeed, the court itself emphasized in its order of the 2nd of June 1999 that the threat or use of force cannot in itself constitute an act of genocide.
