PALESTINIAN FOOTBALLER HEARTBROKEN AFTER LEARNING COUSIN KILLED IN GAZA
January 15, 2024A touching interview with Palestinian footballer Mahmoud Wadi after he had just learned that his had been killed in #Gaza as he was preparing to play against Iran in the Asian Cup in Qatar on Sunday night.
His determination to play for his cousin and for Palestine to make his people have something positive to think about was moving.
While Iran defeated Palestine 4-1 in the match, the Palestinians won the hearts of the mu;lt-national crowd that thronged to the stadium wearing the Palestinian colours to show solidarity with them over the atrocities being committed against them in Gaza and the Occupied Territories.
