BRITISH DOCTOE WITNESSED ISRAELI ATTACKS ON GAZA HOSPITALS

Nick Maynard, an NHS surgeon from Britain who worked in Gaza’s hospitals for over a decade, discredits Israel’s claims at the International Court of Justice that they safeguard hospitals and adds that he has incontrovertible evidence that Israel attacks hospitals and intensive care units while civilians are receiving treatment inside.
Israel has repeatedly claimed that Gaza hospitals are used by Hamas as undercover bases for its military activities, but no hard evidence has yet been provided. A total of 22 hospitals in the Gaza Strip are out of service due to Israeli “aggression” and the rest are only “partially functional”.

Nick Maynard: Nick Maynard. I’m surgeon at Oxford, and I’ve been going to Gaza for nearly 15 years. I’ve just come out to gaza.
Interviewer: The ICJ, on Friday, the Israeli defence legal team said that they can to safeguard the hospitals in Gaza. Is that your experience?
Nick Maynard: Not at all. I saw the Israeli Defense Force destroy a hospital in 2014, the Al Wafa Hospital. I visited just after that. Having visited it before and it was destroyed and reduced to rubble. On this occasion in Al-Aqsa hospital a week ago, I was in hospital when an Israeli missile hit the intensive care unit. So I have seen incontrovertible evidence that they attack hospitals.
Interviewer: And some people say, well, that’s because they’ve got some Hamas inside the hospital firing missiles was that the case?
Nick Maynard: No it was a single shot, a single missile that hit the hospital. There was no gunfire going on. I was in the hospital, there was no Hamas militants at all.
