HAMAS LEADER REJECTS TWO-STATE SOLUTION
January 23, 2024Senior Hamas figures have publicly acknowledged that their organization will never accept a two-state solution.
In this interview with Kuwaiti podcaster Amar Taki last week, Khaled Mashal—Hamas leader—said that Israelis and Gazans cannot coexist.
“I would like to say two things about the two-state solution. First, we have nothing to do with the two-state solution,” he said.
When Mashal was strolling through the streets of Amman, Jordan, in 1997, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attempted to kill him by having Israel’s top Mossad agents pour poison in his ear.
Netanyahu has repeatedly rejected a two-state solution too, most recently denying the possibility for Palestinian sovereignty on Saturday despite America’s push for such an outcome.
