WAR CRIME ISRAELI SNIPERS SHOOT KID IN THE HEAD & CELEBRATE
January 23, 2024Since 2008, Gaza has endured four wars by Israel, resulting in the tragic loss of over 4,000 lives, with a quarter being innocent children. Defense for Children International reports that at least 2,200 children have fallen victim to the Israeli military and settlers since the year 2000.
On May 14th, the world lost 14-year-old Wassal Sheikh Khalil, shot in the head just 100 meters from the fence as she bravely approached to hang a Palestinian flag. The tragedy continued on June 29th when 11-year-old Yasser Abu Naja, alongside two other kids, chanted national slogans near the fence. Yasser, seeking refuge behind a bin 200 meters away, fell victim to a fatal shot in the head. Then, on September 28th, 11-year-old Nasser Azmi Musbeh was shot in the back of the head standing 250 meters from the separation fence, succumbing to the injuries the same day.
These heart-wrenching incidents were not isolated; during the 2018 march, 35 children lost their lives at the hands of Israeli snipers. Shockingly, 940 children faced gunfire, leaving many with permanent disabilities. The UN Commission unequivocally states that Israeli forces intentionally targeted children, fully aware of their innocence.

Zviga Govel: I know how many authorizations he needs before he receives an authorization to open fire. It’s not the whim of one or another sniper who identifies the small body of a child and decides he will shoot. Someone marks the target for him very well and tells him exactly why one has to shoot and what threat is from the individual.
Host: his punishment is death?
Zviga Govel: Yes. His punishment is death according to me. If you can only shoot him to stop him in the leg or arm, great.
