ISRAELI PLAN TO REMOVE HAMAS FALLING
January 24, 2024High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Joseph Borrel, emphasizes the urgency to shift focus from vague discussions on the peace process to concrete actions in advancing the two-state solution. He highlights the dire humanitarian crisis in the region, condemning the severe conditions faced by hundreds of thousands without shelter, food, or medicine, living under constant threat.
Borrel expresses deep concern for the civilian lives lost daily, challenging the notion of what is deemed “”too many.”” He emotionally questions the prolonged suffering and rejects the strategy of destroying Hamas, recognizing its potential to sow seeds of hatred for generations.
True peace and stability can only arise through compassionate measures beyond military actions.
For how long it is going to continue ?

Joseph Borrel: I think that we have to stop talking about, the peace process, and start talking more concretely about the two-state solution process because peace it could be many different peaces. What kind of a peace we are talking about for? Let’s talk about what we want to do. What we want to do is to build a two-state solution. The humanitarian situation could not be worst, could not be worst. There are no words to explain how this situation is with the hundreds of thousand without anything, without shelters, without food, without medicines, and under the bombs. And every day there is a high toll of civilian people being killed. Many ministers have said that there are too many. Well, the question is, how many is too many? How many? What does it mean too many? too many 25,000 people? For how long it is going to continue? Certainly, the way of trying to destroy Hamas is not the way they are doing because they are seeding the hate for generations. We have in mind what Hamas is, what Hamas has done, and certainly we reject and we condemn. But the peace and stability cannot be built only by military means and not in this particular way of using military means.
