Shrem reveals that the term “”algorithm,”” now omnipresent in concealing pro-Palestinian content, traces its roots back to the Arabic word “”nyet,”” coined by an Arabic scientist. This scientist made significant contributions to algebra, another term derived from Arabic, specifically al-Jabri.
The irony emerges as Arabs and Palestinians, who contribute significantly to various fields, are dehumanized and labeled as “”human animals”” in the current conflict. Shrem criticizes the Western colonial system for exploiting Arab skills, investing in them, only to turn around and brand Arabs as terrorists, while simultaneously benefiting and profiting from their inventions, discoveries and brilliance.
In a poignant juxtaposition, Shrem emphasizes that Arabs and Palestinians stand as educators of humanity, promoters of life, yet are subjected to the white man’s arrogance, a paradigm perpetuated by distorted narratives and systemic biases.
