The struggle in Gaza continues, shedding light on the complexities faced by the 2.3 million civilian population.
After enduring a week-long siege, Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis finally received fuel aid today, enabling the resumption of some crucial medical services. However, the humanitarian passage between Khan Yunis and Rafah was packed with thousands of people desperate to escape who were confronted with facial recognition cameras and accusatory messages about Hamas.
In a disturbing development, nearly a hundred Palestinians were laid to rest in a mass grave after being returned by the Israeli army. Their bodies had previously been exhumed and stolen by the IDF under highly suspicious circumstances. Meanwhile, shocking footage emerged from the Israeli media exposing images of scores of Palestinian men in detention blindfolded, forced to sit on their knees with their handscuffed for hours, refused food and water.
Amidst this turmoil, the anguished cries of children continue to pierce the air as more become orphaned. The ongoing bombardment has no mercy and no one is safe.
The Palestinian deathtoll sits at around 26,000 civilians but could be as high as 30-40,000 because thousands of people are missing presumed dead under the rubble.
