ANNIE LENOX CALLS FOR CEASEFIRE
February 7, 2024Scottish singer-songwriter and political activist Annie Lennox called for a ceasefire in Gaza during her performance at the 66th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
She made the plea when singing “Nothing Compares 2 U” as a tribute to Sinéad O’Connor, who died in July 2023, during the In Memoriam section of the ceremony.
Hundreds protested outside the awards in Los Angeles in support of Palestine and calling for an end to the war, stalling arrivals on the red carpet.
