BREAKING NEWS BIDEN: ISRAEL AGREES TO CEASEFIRE FOR RAMADAN
February 27, 2024BREAKING: In a remarkable turn of events, it seems the weight of international pressure has finally brought to bear on both Israel and the USA in the call for a ceasefire.
US President Joe Biden announced, only hours ago, that Israel has agreed to halt military activities in Gaza for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, as Hamas studied a draft proposal for a truce which includes a pause in fighting and a prisoner-hostage exchange.
A report by Reuters stated that the draft ceasefire proposal, cited by a senior source close to truce talks in Paris, would allow hospitals and bakeries in Gaza to be repaired and 500 aid trucks to enter the battered enclave every day, is the most serious attempt in weeks to end the conflict which erupted in October last year.
Ramadan is expected to begin on the evening of March 10th and end on the evening of April 9th.
President Biden, during a visit to an ice cream shop in New York, said he “”hoped”” the ceasefire deal could be agreed by Monday. Later, during an appearance on NBC’s “”Late Night with Seth Myers””, Biden confirmed the deal was agreed: “Ramadan is coming up, and there’s been an agreement by the Israelis that they would not engage in activities during Ramadan, as well, in order to give us time to get all the hostages out,”
Whilst this is good news, over the next 11 days, Israel will continue to launch air, land and sea attacks on the Gaza enclave and the 2.3million civilians so the death toll will continue to mount, children will continue to starve, babies will continue to die while Biden licks on his ice cream as if his job is done!

Biden: Well, I hope by the beginning of the weekend, I mean, the end of the weekend. At least my… My security adviser, tells me that we’re close, we’re close, we’re not done yet. And my hope is by next Monday, we’ll have a ceasefire.
