“SPONSOR A GAZAN ORPHAN” SAVE A CHILD

As the number of orphans created by the war on Gaza increases by the day, with the number sitting at over 20,000 children, an important initiative by Women 4 Palestine and Taawon, a long-standing organization that have been at the forefront of this work, have launched an urgent worldwide appeal to the global community titled “Sponsor a Gazan Orphan”.
Taawon’s robust program sustains the children’s medical, educational, mental health and nutritional needs until they turn 18.
This is something we should all get behind to help the most needy and vulnerable in Gaza.
I encourage you all to consider opening your hearts even more than you already have done and give a Gazan orphan hope.

Dr Hanan Ashrawi: Ramadan Mubarak. I speak to you with a heavy heart, with a broken heart. Like you, I find the situation in Gaza entirely unbearable as 2.4 million Palestinians are being subjected to an Israeli genocide in plain sight. 1 million of the 2.4 Palestinians, 1 million Palestinian children are traumatized, many of them having lost their homes, their schools, their comfort, their security, their health. Many suffering from dehydration, disease and starvation. But I speak on behalf of the 20,000 Palestinians who are bearing the most intolerable grief and unbearable loss, the loss of a parent, of a mother, of a father, of siblings, of a whole family. These are the children you and I have to reach out to and to give them not just relief but love, affection, attention and hope. So with this campaign by ‘Taawon’ and with ‘Women For Palestine’, we can all help in sponsoring a child or more and bringing a ray of light and hope to children who have been thrust in the heart of darkness.
