IRANIAN SPY TRICKS ISRAELI SOLDIER INTO SENDING INTELLIGENCE IMAGES
April 27, 2024An Israeli soldier sent dozens of sensitive photographs of Iron Dome air defense batteries to an Iranian intelligence agent posing as a woman on Facebook, according to Kan News.
The report claims the soldier « »voluntarily » » documented the Iron Dome batteries with their locations and sent them to the woman he thought he was “in love” with.
After these violations were discovered, the soldier who – works as a truck driver – was sentenced to 10 days in prison.
« As part of the ongoing activity to monitor and thwart IDF officers’ misbehavior on social networks, an enemy infrastructure was exposed that operated with the aim of extracting information about IDF forces and activities, » an Israeli army spokesperson told the media.
“This is an infrastructure that activated dozens of profiles by the [Resistance] Axis countries with the aim of providing intelligence to Hamas,” the spokesperson added before calling on soldiers to “show responsibility for vigilance and adhere to instructions, the intelligence security system continues to expose and thwart this type of enemy infrastructure.”
Three months ago, the Times of Israel released an article stating the following.
« According to the Shin Bet, Iranian operatives, using fake online profiles, tasked Israelis with photographing the residences of Israeli defense officials and other officials who appear frequently in the media and speak out publicly against Iran. »
This is proof of just how UNSOPHISTICATED and VULNERABLE the Israeli Defence Forces are!
