Protestors: Israel has sabotaged the Freedom Flotilla. Last night, news broke that in a dirty play of bureaucratic warfare, last minute, impossible criteria caused the flag of our lead ship and our cargo ship, filled with lifesaving aid, to be withdrawn. For any ship to sail, it has to be registered under a country. Our ship passed all of the necessary inspections. Everything was ready to go. But without a flag, we cannot sail.And they think it ends here. They couldn’t be more wrong. This is a global uprising of people united. It cannot be broken. The Freedom Flotilla represents hundreds of millions of people around the world, sick of witnessing a live stream genocide. Israel has been obstructing humanitarian aid to millions of starving people by land and now by sea. While Israel overrides all international law and continues its criminal and deliberate starvation of Palestinians in Gaza, thousands of tons of urgent relief sits stranded in the harbor. This is not over. We need the whole world to step up. So this is an invitation for a nation state to save this mission and raise the flag on our ship immediately. We know this mission represents you. Your grief. Your outrage. Your despair. Your love for Palestine. Your love for humanity. The attempt to destroy our mission shows the power of the Freedom Flotilla. Don’t give up. For seven brutal months, the Palestinians haven’t. And we aren’t either. This is only a setback. Israel cannot crush our resolve to break the siege and reach the people of Gaza. We will sail. Help us continue amplifying this humanitarian movement to break the siege of Gaza. Every day, every hour, every minute Counts. The next flotilla might be too late.
