YEMENI FORCES CLAIM STRIKES ON SIX SHIPS. INCLUDING U.S. & ISRAELI-LINKED VESSELS
May 30, 2024Yemen’s Houthi group on Wednesday claimed that it had launched attacks against six ships in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and Mediterranean Sea.
“The first three attacks occurred in the Red Sea with ballistic missiles and bomb-laden drones that targeted Laax, MOREA, and SEALADY ships,” the group’s military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a statement aired by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV.
“The hits were accurate,” he added.
“The fourth and fifth attacks targeted ALBA ship and MAERSK HARTFORD ship, both belonging to the United States, in the Arabian Sea with ballistic missiles and drones,” Sarea said.
“The sixth attack was in the Mediterranean Sea targeting MINERVA ANTONIA ship with winged missiles,” the Houthi spokesman noted, vowing to carry out more attacks until “Israel stops its war against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.”
The Houthis began last November to launch anti-ship ballistic missiles and drones targeting what they said were Israeli-linked ships transiting the Red Sea to show solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.
All neighbouring states MUST express solidarity with PALESTINE and take STRONGER action like the Houthis have! Israel will NOT respond to the International order and MUST be forced into stopping their genocide in Gaza.
