Dr. Mustafa Barghouti: Today, all the talk that is said about Hamas movement, that it is a terrorist movement, was all said about Yasser Arafat, and all was said before about the PLO, and all was said about the Fatah movement, the Popular Front (PFLP), and other organizations. As for the issue, it is not this organization or that. The issue is that any Palestinian activist is a terrorist for Israel, and they want to prevent the legitimate right of the Palestinians in international law to strive for their rights. Whatever the form of the strive, I always say in many lectures abroad, that if a Palestinian strives with weapons, he is called a terrorist, and if he strives with peaceful popular resistance, he is called violent, and if he strives only with words, he is called an instigator, and if a foreigner stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people, they say he is anti-Semitic, and if there is a Jew, such as Gideon Levy, who supports the rights of the Palestinian people, they call him self-hating Jew.
