July 14, 2024Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner general of UNRWA, stated that over 350,000 people in Palestine’s Gaza are constantly fleeing Israeli bombardment, signalling that there is no safe space in the besieged enclave, where 1 million deeply traumatised children are living amidst the rubble.

But… They’re Palestinian, so the world turns away. It’s normal for them to suffer.

Philippe Lazzarini: So basically we had around 350,000 people again on the road, and as we all know, since the beginning of the war, almost every Gazan have been displaced more than once, twice, three times, four times five times showing how basically there is absolutely no safe space in the Gaza Strip. We have today about 1 million people below the age of 18 in Gaza, among them, more than 600,000 are on the edge of primary and secondary high school. They are all living in the rubble. They are deeply, deeply traumatized.
