BREAKING NEWS UN ADOPTS RESOLUTION DEMANDING ISRAELİ WITHDRAWAL FROM PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES

The UN adopted a resolution calling for Israel’s withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories within the next 12 months. The resolution was passed with 124 votes in favor, 14 against and 43 abstentions.

The State of Palestine presented the draft resolution, marking the first time in its history, after gaining rights and privileges within the General Assembly. This followed the Assembly’s support for a Palestinian bid to become a full UN member last May.

The annual UN General Assembly session will be held in New York in a few days, where both Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are set to address world leaders.
