HANDS OFF LEBANON: LEBANON INDEPENDENCE DAY JOIN!I JOIN! JOIN! SYDNEYVIGILTO PROTECT SOVEREIGNTY
November 22, 2024The worldwide Lebanese diaspora stands in solidarity and demand ISR@EL end its war against our people and all foreign forces, and violators of Lebanon’s sovereignty take their HANDS OFF LEBANON.
We call on all Lebanese in our adopted homelands to come together on November 24 to defend Lebanon’s Independence in a demonstration of global unity to show our governments that we demand their commitment to protecting our sovereignty.
For Sydney, here are the details:
📍 | Holroyd Gardens, Merrylands
⏱️ | Sunday, 24th November, 4pm – 6pm
Bring your Lebanese 🇱🇧 and Australian 🇦🇺 flags to show unity.
This is a peaceful gathering to demonstrate our commitment to the democratic values we respect in Australia and those we want to protect and demand for Lebanon.
We urge vigil attendees not to bring flags, symbols or signs which might be deemed illegal due to their association with prescribed terrorist groups under Australian law.
People from all backgrounds are WELCOME 🙏🏼❤️
If we don’t stand up for Lebanon now we might not have a Lebanon to stand up for in the future.
ENOUGH is ENOUGH!
SHARE this post with all your family and friends.
If you are coming drop a 🇱🇧❤️ in the comments.
We look forward to meeting you on Sunday.

Daizy Gedeon: Hi everyone! I’m in Sydney at Merrylands at the Holroyd Gardens, which on Sunday we are going to see filled with Lebanese and friends of Lebanon standing together in the “Hands-Off Lebanon” campaign that will kick off in Sydney and cause a wave of Lebanese nationalism and activism around the world. Today is an important day. Today is Lebanon’s Independence Day. 81 years ago, November 22nd, 1943, Lebanon became a sovereign state. But that is at stake, and that that’s why on Sunday, Lebanese in Australia and around the world will join together to tell those enemies of Lebanon’s sovereignty to take your hands off Lebanon. I encourage all Lebanese in Sydney to come along and stand up for Lebanon. We’ll have several speakers on Sunday, including Andrew Charlton, the chair of the Friends of Lebanon committee in Parliament. We’ll have Senator David Shoebridge from the Greens and we will have, Ola Hamed, the mayor of Cumberland Council, who have generously offered us these grounds, as well as many other speakers. And, I will be speaking on the day to talk about the main issues that we’re coming under. So, I look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Thank you.
