Location Syria: Prisoners Freed from Sednaya’s Infamous Slaughterhouse
December 10, 2024For thousands of Syrian and Lebanese political prisoners, held for decades in Syrian dictator Bashar Al Assad’s notorious Sednaya Prison, the sight of Syrian rebel forces flinging open prison doors and freeing them was a dream they never believed would come true.
Footage from the prison showed the rebels breaking doors open and telling inmates they were free. The joy on their faces says it all.
This was an historic moment.
