Radio Habana Cuba: Cuba Grants 200 Scholarships to Palestinian Medical Students
March 18, 2025The Cuban Government is offering an additional 200 fully-paid scholarships for Palestinian medical students to complete undergraduate and graduate education in the coming years. The announcement was made by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel when he received the ambassador of the State of Palestine, Dr. Akram Mohammad Samhan, who is finishing his diplomatic mission on the Caribbean island nation.
The Palestinian diplomat thanked the Cuban president for his support to the students of his country, whom Cuba “has been protecting and supporting.”
Currently, 250 students from Palestine are studying on the Caribbean island, pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies at different higher education centers.
