Forty countries are joining hearings at the World Court in The Hague over Israeli policies that have starved the people of Gaza. Israel is boycotting the hearing.
Israel has blocked all aid from entering Gaza since March 2. It has also outlawed the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which is responsible for providing food, health services and education in Gaza.
Only the U.S. and Hungary are expected to defend Israel during the five days of court proceedings.
