What a wonderful Australia Day celebration organised by the unstoppable Janet Rachkidi – bravo 👏🏼💞- on the shores of the Mediterranean @sportingclubbeach overlooking the beauty of Beirut.
As has become the custom, the Australian Embassy, led by Ambassador Andrew Barnes, host Australia Day festivities during the northern summer to make us all feel like we are home and sweltering under the Aussie sun.
Wonderful to reconnect with Canadian Ambassador Stefanie McCollum and meet the Ambassador from Kazakhstan, Rasul Jumaly and his wife, Lebanese Change MP Firas Hamdan, Bishop Tarabay from Sydney, as well as my dear friends Gabby, Khalil, Rima and all the @domaine_wardy family, among many, many others.
Bring on Summer 🌞 and the parties, festivals, outings, food, and so much fun. 💃🏽🕺🏼🥂🥳
Despite all that continues to afflict this historic nation, the spirit of life pounds stronger than ever in the veins, streets, mountains and hearts of all in Lebanon. ❤️🇱🇧😍
