L’Oréal Honors Inspiring Lebanese Women of Worth
June 28, 2025
@loreallebanon put on an inspiring event to celebrate five extraordinary Lebanese Women of Worth at the stunning Sursock Palace Gardens, Thursday night.
The awardees included the unstoppable @joelleabufarhat who is leading the fight for gender equality in Lebanon, @moreillekorababinasr a dynamic real estate mogul who broke many barriers in the male-dominated industry to rise to the top, Lebanese Taekwondo Olympic medallist @laetitia_aoun and @indigokousba founder Adele Honein and her @architectureinaboxlb invention.
But it was Marina El Khawand the founder of @Medonations NGO that left me speechless and in awe. In 2020, at the age of 18, she was caught in the Beirut Port explosion that killed more than 240 people, injured thousands and left hundreds of thousands homeless. She found an injured 80-year-old on the side of the road desperately looking at her destroyed pill box and knowing that she would die without her medications. Marina would not let her die. She saved that lady and from that decided to create a medical donations charity that helped hundreds of August 4 victims and now serves more than 20,000 people across Lebanon.
AND SHE IS ONLY 23 NOW! WOW!
Watch out Lebanon, watch out world because this young lady is a force to be reckoned with.
My congratulations to all the winners and Emilie Wahab, MD of L’Oréal Lebanon, on such a wonderful evening. Honoured to be among the exclusive guests 💞
