13 Million Displaced, Millions Starving — Ewan L. Flynn Calls for Urgent Action in Sudan & Congo
August 16, 2025
Sudan and Congo are burning, and the world is looking away.
Since 2023, civil war in Sudan has displaced 13 million people, while famine kills countless others. In Congo, militias like M23 are forcing 8 million from their homes, digging mass graves, and using sexual violence as a weapon.
Global superpowers promised aid, but it’s not enough. This is not a distant story — it’s happening right now, and ignoring it is not an option.
Share, donate, demand action. Humanity depends on it.

English Script:
Ewan L. Flynn: Sudan and Congo need your help and they need your attention because Lord knows the global superpowers are not giving them anywhere near enough of it. In Sudan right now, there is a civil war that’s been going on since 2023 between the Sudanese Armed forces and the RSF. And what this has led to is the world’s largest displacement crisis, with 13 million people being displaced from their homes. Famine that has been declared in multiple areas of Sudan. People are dying over there from starvation. In Congo, there’s fighting in the East from militia groups like M23, driving people out of their homes, 8 million people out of their homes. And they are digging mass graves for innocent civilians that they are killing. They are using sexual assault as a weapon. It is truly one of the worst humanitarian crises going on right now. Both wars are being fueled by the international neglect that is going on. There is not enough help going to them. While the UK promised aid, we are not promising enough. We are not helping enough and you can sit there and say but what about our country first? But you are not in a position where you are getting run out of your homes by men with guns. Sudan and Congo are real things happening now. They are uncomfortable to hear about. I understand, but you cannot look away because you have humanity. You need to share, you need to donate, and you need to demand attention from our government on these issues.
