Prime Minister Mark Carney says he would honor the ICC arrest warrant for Netanyahu and have him arrested if he entered Canada.
He also announced his government’s decision to recognize the State of Palestine, calling Israel’s actions a violation of international law and decades of Canadian policy.
Carney said the goal is clear: “A free and viable Palestinian state living side by side with Israel, in peace and security.”
For the first time, a Western leader has drawn a line.
