Death Penalty Proposal for Palestinian Prisoners Moves Forward in Israel
February 20, 2026
First, indefinite detention.
Now, death sentences.
A bill being pushed in Israel could allow Palestinian prisoners to be sentenced to death within months.
No trial transparency.
No equal protections.
Now potentially no life.
This is not reform.
This is escalation.
WE SHOULD STOP THIS. NOW!

Ginny: I never ask you to take any action with my videos, but this one I need you to repost and follow this account. Back in November last year, the bill to impose the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners was approved. Remember this sweet treats. Next steps are deliberations, which is currently happening. And then second reading and third reading before the final bill passes. Each of the steps takes weeks or months, but they’re definitely accelerating the process. If the bill passes, the death sentence will be carried out within 90 days without possibility of appeal. Israeli prisons are currently holding over 9000 detainees and prisoners. About 10% of them are convicted, which this bill is aiming at. The dangerous part of this is their military justice system uses torture or extreme interrogation to bring out false confessions. If that’s not enough for you to believe, these people are being held without valid reason. The other 90% are detainees, including women and children, and say it with me. Detainees without charge is what? That’s right. And I’ve been thinking about what I can do about this besides speaking about it. Then I remembered ACRI Association for Civil Rights in Israel. They’re Israel’s oldest and largest civil liberties organization. A month ago, I made a video about the report on the harsh prison conditions for Palestinians. The report was initially done by the Israeli Public Defender’s Office. It contains information about how they’re being tortured, sexually abused and other inhumane punishments. And that’s what I learned. This report was not released voluntarily. ACRI had to file a Freedom of Information petition to force the release. So when it comes to this bill, I want to see what I can do to help amplify their work. They’re already actively opposing the bill and have begun to campaign against it. And if this bill passes, they will be ready with a petition to the Supreme Court for its revocation. So right now, I want to give them a spotlight for the work they’re doing. I have personally reached out to them as well. Please give them a follow up. Talk about it and I’ll for sure give another update soon.
