Munitions experts say Tomahawk missiles are used by the United States and its allies — not Iran.
175 people, mostly little girls, were vaporized by a U.S. Tomahawk missile. The evidence is undeniable. Fragments with U.S. Defense codes were found in the rubble. Bellingcat and the NYT have geolocated the strike. And what was Trump’s response? He claimed that Iran “also has some Tomahawks” and probably hit their own school.
FACT CHECK: Only the U.S., UK, Australia, Netherlands, and Japan have Tomahawks. Iran has ZERO.

Shawn McCreesh: We need to find out who this reporter is, because this was spectacular. Let’s rewind a second. Trump was answering a question about the strike on a girls school in Iran.
Trump: And whether it’s Iran who also has some tomahawks. I wish they had more, but, whether it’s Iran or somebody else, the fact that a tomahawk, a tomahawk is very generic, it’s sold to other countries.
Shawn McCreesh: Researchers and reporters have confirmed that the missile used on that school was a tomahawk. And neither Israel nor Iran have them. So this reporter asks:
Reporter: You just suggested that Iran somehow got its hands on a tomahawk and bombed its own elementary school on the first day of the war. But you’re the only person in your government saying this. Even your defense secretary wouldn’t say that when he was asked. Standing over your shoulder on your plane on Saturday. Why are you the only person saying this?
Shawn McCreesh: Can we just take a second and appreciate how firm he was with that question? You’re the only person who’s saying this because you’re full of shit.
Trump: Because I just don’t know enough about it. I think it’s something that I was told is under investigation. But tomahawks are used by others as you know.
Shawn McCreesh: A handful of other countries have Tomahawk missiles, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Netherlands, but not Israel or Iran. So his theory is somehow his enemy was armed by the United States, or he is full of shit. And the United States hit that school. Massive props to that reporter, if you know who that is. Tag them in the comments because we need to see more direct questions like that to people in power.
