UN Launches Probe Into Iran School Strike That Killed 168 Girls, Says “Innocent Lives Lost”
March 18, 2026
Max du Plessis, a key member of the UN Fact-Finding Mission on Iran, has officially opened an investigation into the horrific strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ school in Minab.
The details are sickening: 168 children, mostly girls aged 7 to 12, were killed when the building was hit by three successive missile strikes. While Donald Trump and the Pentagon try to gaslight the world by claiming they “”don’t target civilians.””
Du Plessis is calling for an independent outcome, exposing the reality that the U.S. likely relied on outdated data and AI-driven targeting to justify the slaughter.
THE WORLD IS WATCHING.
THE TRUTH WILL NOT BE BURIED UNDER THE RUBBLE. ✊🏼

Max Du Plessis: We are at an early stage of that investigation. You can imagine that it is impossible for us to do more than at this stage from afar, consider what has happened. We don’t have access to Iran. We have asked for that access and we will continue to seek that access. But from afar, we are certainly most concerned about the news about that attack. And we are in a priority fashion considering what that attack means and what the implications are. It’s clear to us that whatever happens in respect of such an event, given the innocent lives that have been lost, there is a critical need for such an investigation to be done. And for an independent outcome to follow.
