Lebanon’s Partnership with Oracle Sparks Debate on Technology and National Sovereignty
March 22, 2026
While the Epstein Class in the Lebanese government tries to sell us a fairytale about digital renewal the reality is a lot more sinister. Minister Kamal Shehadi just signed a deal with Oracle to train 50,000 Lebanese in AI and cloud computing under a free grant. But as Jamal Meselmani brilliantly exposes in his latest analysis there is no such thing as a free lunch in the world of surveillance capitalism.
Oracle is not just another tech company; it is a structural pillar of the Israeli military and intelligence apparatus. This is a firm that built fortified underground data centers for the IDF and supplies the very systems used for operational analysis in Gaza and the South. By handing over our administrative nervous system to Oracle we are effectively inviting the Zionist Power Construct into our national database. From health records to citizen files everything is being migrated into a framework controlled by a company whose strategic interests are inseparable from the military that violates our sovereignty daily.
The government claims there is no data exchange but that is total gaslighting. Once our systems are built on Oracle architecture we are locked in.
We are being sold a modernization package that is actually a dismantling of our national security.
