Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid, has accused Benjamin Netanyahu of misleading the public over the war with Iran, calling the outcome a “political disaster.”
Lapid said the conflict failed to achieve its key objectives, warning that:
•Iran’s government remains intact
•The nuclear threat is still unresolved
•Israel had no real influence over the ceasefire deal
“Netanyahu failed politically, failed strategically, and did not achieve any of the goals he set.”
He added that what could have been a military success was ultimately turned into a political failure.
The remarks highlight growing internal criticism in Israel as the fallout from the war continues.
