Dr. Shehadeh insists that the deal involves absolutely no transfer of Lebanese citizen data to Oracle platforms. “There is no data that this agreement brings on any Oracle platform,” he asserts, calling the data-theft narrative a misleading assumption.
According to the Minister, the core of the deal is training Lebanese individuals. The goal is to equip our youth with skills that allow them to work for global tech firms, whether in the GCC, Lebanon, or beyond, keeping Lebanese talent competitive on the world stage.
The Minister argues that the professional benefits for Lebanese students shouldn’t be sacrificed because of the identity of the tech provider.
