“If MAGA Compares Trump to Christ…” — John Pavlovitz Sparks Backlash with Viral Remark

As a Christian, I find the constant comparison of Donald Trump to Jesus Christ beyond offensive, it is a mockery of the Cross.
To see politicians and their followers weaponize the image of the suffering Savior to shield a man from accountability is a distortion of everything we are taught. If the MAGA movement is so certain of this comparison, if they truly believe he is a persecuted messiah, then I have a challenge: Let’s see him walk the path of the one he is being compared to. Let’s see him face the ultimate test of divinity and rise on the third day.
Until then, stop using faith as a political prop. One died for the sins of the world; the other is a man answering for his own. The Gospel is about sacrifice, and truth not power, ego, and cults of personality.
FAITH IS SACRED. POLITICS IS POWER. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.
