Human Rights Group Exposes Sexual Abuse of Palestinian Women in Israeli Prisons
May 9, 2026
The silence has been shattered. Kifaya Khraim, from the Women’s Centre for Legal Aid and Counselling (WCLAC), is revealing the horrific results of a new investigation. After interviewing over 75 women recently released from separate Israeli detention centers and police stations, the data is undeniable: sexual violence isn’t an accident, it’s a weapon of war.
Every single one of the 75 women interviewed reported experiencing forms of sexual violence, including rape, sexual torture, and extreme sexual humiliation.
From the West Bank to Gaza and Jerusalem, the methods are identical: forced nudity, invasive searches, and “sexualised torture” used as a tool of control.
The bodies of Palestinian women have become a lawless battlefield where international law simply doesn’t exist.
HOW DARE YOU?? SHAME ON THE SILENCE! JUSTICE FOR THE SURVIVORS! WE SHOULD SHARE THIS.

English Script:
Kifaya Khraim: We have interviewed over 75 women who were detained in separate centers, detention centers in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem police stations. All the women say the same thing about sexual violence, including rape, sexual torture and sexual humiliation and degradation. All of these documentation that came from different women in different geographic areas has proved to us over and over again that it’s systematic. It’s not isolated incidents. It’s not a lone wolf committing that. One woman in Hebron said that she was, for example, raped with an inspection device. We have the same testimony from Gaza, committed by female soldiers, Israeli female soldiers. Being committed by different brigades in different areas has led us to believe that it’s systematic, it’s widespread, it’s not isolated.
