At a Politico Defense Summit hosted by weapons manufacturer Lockheed Martin on May 12, 2026, exiled former prince Reza Pahlavi was publicly confronted for his open support of the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war on Iran. While Pahlavi was on stage praising the military aggression against his homeland, an Iranian-American activist shut down the room with a message he couldn’t ignore.
Pahlavi has reportedly framed the Israeli-U.S. bombings as external support for his clandestine networks inside Iran, effectively using foreign bombs as a tool to pave his way back to a throne.
Activists made it clear that while Pahlavi sits comfortably in Washington, D.C., his rhetoric is fueling a war that has already cost the U.S. over $29 billion and resulted in the massacre of thousands.
Critics argue that Pahlavi has lost all credibility by refusing to condemn the strikes, instead acting as a political instrument for foreign governments who want to see Iran dismembered.
