CodePink Disrupts AI Summit Over Claims US-Israeli Tech Fuels Gaza War
May 18, 2026
Activists from CODEPINK launched a series of high-profile disruptions at major tech and AI infrastructure summits—including the high-profile AI+ Expo in Washington, D.C., and a critical data infrastructure summit—to expose how artificial intelligence is being weaponized to automate mass murder in Palestine and beyond.
CODEPINK activists successfully shut down panels featuring defense and energy insiders at the AI+ Expo in D.C., unfurling banners and demanding an immediate halt to the militarization of AI tech.
Activists exposed how the U.S. and Israeli militaries are using public tax dollars to fund advanced AI targeting infrastructure. Systems like the Maven Smart System and outsourced cloud technologies are being used to automate target selection, turning human lives into algorithmic data points.
Artificial intelligence shouldn’t be a shortcut for war crimes. You cannot call it “technological advancement” when the ultimate end product is the automated slaughter of innocent families.
THANK YOU CODEPINK.
SHAME ON THE TECH PROFITEERS!

And decades of defense….
Code pink activists: This AI partnership that they are talking about, targets and kills Palestinians. It bombs and targets elementary schools in Iran. It is surveilling our streets here. And it’s all being done with your tax dollars. Let go of me. It’s all been done with your tax dollars. No AI for genocide. No AI for genocide. We are outside the AI convention that happens annually to talk about the new and improved versions of AI they have. We were specifically at the panel where the US and Israel were talking about their continued partnership in AI. We wanted to make sure that they knew that this partnership is the same partnership that targets and kills Palestinians, that targets Iran schools and hospitals everywhere in the region and that is surveilling our streets here and yanking our neighbors off the streets. And we don’t want more of this partnership. We don’t want our tax dollars used for these things. We want them used here in the community. We don’t want our planet destroyed with what they’re doing with war and ecoside. We want it used here in our communities for things that we need like healthcare, jobs, housing, food security, climate change instead of war.
